Joseph Morpurgo was nominated for a Foster’s Edinburgh Comedy Award for his third solo show, Soothing Sounds for Baby. His other sell-out solo shows – including Hammerhead and Odessa – have also met with widespread critical acclaim.
He had had his own series on Radio 4, Joseph Morpurgo’s Walking Tour, appeared in the BAFTA-nominated Harry & Paul’s Story Of The Twos and Drunk History, and produced work with Warp Films, Baby Cow and Aardman Animations (including Shaun The Sheep).
He has performed and taught improv in the UK, Europe and the US, and guested with groups including The Comedy Store Players and Baby Wants Candy.
Mr. Joseph Morpurgo, despite his prodigious allowance, is a renowned dabbler in comical and literary pursuits. This itinerant jester has been nominated for Best Show at ‘Mr. Foster’s Edinburgh Comedic Awards’, appeared in BBC Two’s ‘Harry & Paul’ and Comedy Central’s ‘Drunk History’, and performed improvisational feats with the likes of the ‘Comedy Store Players’ and ‘Baby Wants Candy’. He hopes to purchase a daguerrotype with the proceeds of tonight’s theatricals.
