The Fortune Theatre is currently closed as part of the West End shutdown. Heartfelt apologies to all our ticket holders! As soon as we know when theatres are reopening, we shall announce it far and wide. Until then, if you have purchased tickets for a cancelled show, the box office team will contact you directly about credits/exchanges. Updates from the theatre may also be found here: atgtickets.com/coronavirus-info.
We very much look forward to seeing you when the Fortune reopens! In the meantime, please feel free to join us from a charmingly respectable social distance on BBC Radio 4 or download one of our vintage performances, filmed live at the Savoy Theatre and Leicester Square Theatre.
Most importantly, look after yourselves, dear friends, and we are thrilled at the prospect of seeing you as soon as the West End returns to its usual glory!
With a delighted London audience of over 10,000 in 2019, the show will continue to entertain across a further 30 dates at the Fortune Theatre, beginning on 24th February 2020 and concluding on 27th July 2020. Tickets are now on sale and available from www.atgtickets.com.
Due to popularity, the Fortune Theatre has added additional Sunday performances throughout June and July – these Summer Sundays will be (though we say it ourselves) the perfect addition to any sunny afternoon, with tickets for a special performance on Mothering Sunday (22nd March). The perfect gift for a family day out to celebrate, perhaps?
And don’t forget to pick up your very own Austentatious Loyalty Card – see the show four times and your fifth time is free!
We can’t wait to return to our London home for another season of absurd Regency adventures featuring wilful heroines, haughty gentlemen, wayward vicars, and even more universally acknowledged truths. Prepare your carriages!
We were delighted to be visited by Deborah Frances-White of The Guilty Feminist podcast, who chaired a post-show panel with the cast on Jane Austen and feminism after one of our recent West End shows at The Fortune Theatre. If you didn’t make it on the day, then why not catch up with the video of the talk below!
Keep your eyes peeled for more upcoming post show talks – tickets for our West End run are available here!
Following a season of smash-hit performances during 2018, we are delighted to mark the 243rd anniversary of Austen’s birth (on 16 December 1775) by announcing that we will begin a Monday night residency at the Fortune Theatre, London from 18 February 2019.
Tickets are ON SALE NOW, giving you enough time to secure a last-minute Christmas present for the Austen/comedy/getting-out-of-the-house lover in your life.
What’s more, a new loyalty card is also being introduced offering you a fifth performance for free once you’ve attended four performances at the Fortune Theatre. It is entirely different every time after all, so why not start every week with a dose of the best medicine!
We do so hope to see you there – maybe we don’t hate Mondays after all…
